Student visa to Turkey

Obtaining a student visa to Turkey is one of the most important topics for all students wishing to enroll in Turkish universities and acquire the strongest knowledge there.

Due to the large number of people wishing to study in Turkey, the Turkish government introduced a student visa program to facilitate the educational process at its universities.

Today, we will explain the steps to obtain a student visa to Turkey, its different types, and other important information about it.

How to obtain a student visa to Turkey?

First step:

You must decide and determine the specialization you wish to study in Turkey and the Turkish university that suits you. Then, you prepare the required documents, register at the university you have chosen, and wait to obtain initial acceptance from the university administration.

Step Two:

After obtaining initial acceptance, you must pay all university tuition fees to confirm the sincerity of your desire to study. The fees are transferred to the university's bank account or paid in cash by a close friend or relative residing in the city where your university is located.

Upon transferring the fees directly, you will receive a payment receipt which must be resubmitted or sent to the university to obtain final admission.

Step 3:

Upon receiving final acceptance, you will have fulfilled the most important requirements for a Turkish student visa.

At this point, you begin preparing the necessary documents to obtain your student visa to Turkey and submit them to the Turkish consulate in your country of residence.

Student visa to Turkey requirements include:

  • Personal photograph.
  • Passport valid for more than 4 months.
  • Visa application form (available from the consulate).
  • Travel health insurance.

  • Visa fees are non-refundable and vary by country.

After completing and ensuring all required documents are submitted to the Turkish consulate, the process of obtaining a student visa to Turkey takes approximately two weeks from the date of application.

Afterward, you can easily enter Turkey and begin the process of obtaining your student residence permit.

For international students coming to Turkey for exchange programs or Turkish language courses, the Turkish Embassy offers the following visa types:

- ERASMUS Visa

- Turkish Language Study Visa

- AISEC Visa

All of these visas are subject to the same conditions and required documents for obtaining a student visa. As for the duration of the student visa to Turkey, it depends on the duration of the training, course, or university specialization.
